Though Victoria & Boe grew up 30 minutes down the road from each other in Massachusetts and both went to college in Florida. It wasn't until they lived in Hawaii that they met. When they found out their family was growing back in 2018, Hawaii felt too far away from family. With Massachusetts simply being too cold, they venutured to the upstate next! They went all in buying their 20+ acres sight unseen and hopped back to the mainland!
If you think education happens within four walls, think again! When it comes to educating our kiddos, we take it outside to allow nature to teach them while we as adults guide that learning. Being outdooors rain-or-shine increases resilience, cognitive function, motor coordination, connectedness to nature, well-being, critical thinking, better sleep and so much more!
Victoria started Earthganic Farm along with Boe in 2019 after developing a passion for organic farming while traveling through the Middle East, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America often times working on organic farms! She studied Environmental Science and Education at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she compiled a lot of what she learned working on farms abroad into her senior thesis about organic farming. Victoria started her professional career as a high school Biology, Chemistry, and Global Issues teacher in the Dominican Republic. She then went on to teach Sciences, Gardening, and Health & Wellness in Hawaii. Being a Resident Supervisor at that school ignited Victoria’s enthusiasm to get kids outdoors. She brought her residents hiking, kayaking, foraging, and boogie boarding whenever she had a chance. Currently she also works at Valley Forest School teaching children as young as 6 weeks to 3 years, and previously taught the 3-8-year-olds. Bringing outdoor educational experiences to their homesterad has been a dream since the farm started.
Make sure to ask Victoria about her travels and low-waste living! In the past decade, she’s been to 30 different countries and has worked on farms in six of them. Over the course of three years, she fit all her plastic & landfill waste in a 160z jar each year. Her more recent feet was keeping 99% of their youngest, Banks, homegrown for his first year during which he had 66 foods from the land they steward. She loves sharing her appreciation for traveling and environmental justice!
Adrienne has always had a passion for working with children and is thrilled to be part of this wonderful community. With experience teaching a wide range of subjects—from theatre and swimming to chess and music—Adrienne works with children of all ages, from infants to adults. What she loves most about teaching is getting to know each student individually and finding creative ways to help them develop a love for learning. For Adrienne, it’s not just about the subject being taught; it’s about helping children build confidence, discover their unique strengths, and gain the lifelong tools they need to keep growing and exploring.
Over the past couple of years, after moving from New York City, Adrienne developed a deep interest in gardening, sustainable living, and mindfulness. She enjoys diving into these topics at her half-acre urban homestead and sharing her newfound knowledge with others. Adrienne also loves cooking from scratch and has started experimenting with freshly milled flour for her baking—something she super jazzed about!
A lifelong learner herself, Adrienne is always looking for ways to grow and evolve. She’s excited to embark on this new journey with Adventuring Acorns, where she helps create a nurturing and inspiring environment for children and families. As a mom, she’s especially excited to bring her own son into this experience!
Allyson Farri has been a stay at home mom for the first few years of her son, Lucca’s, life. During this time, her family and she have been diving into the world of homesteading, building essential skills for a self-sufficient lifestyle. In 2024, the Farri family found their forever home in Gray Court, SC and began their journey into homesteading. Allyson had a successful first year gardening and plans to expand this year into baking freshly milled goods and learning essential food preservation techniques.
Allyson was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA and finished her Bachelors Degree at San Francisco State University in Communications with emphasis on Environmental Problems and Solutions. After college, her focus deepened in the areas of mediation and yoga. While traveling to and from India, Allyson worked in the States as a nanny and ESL teacher, later to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in Memory Care.
At home, Allyson finds it quite natural to parent with a Montessori approach. She believes that providing space to observe, understand, and respond to a child based on their individual needs fosters independence and a sense of ownership. She loves to explore the natural world with other families and enjoys growing her own skills alongside this beautiful group.
