Though Victoria & Boe grew up 30 minutes down the road from each other in Massachusetts and both went to college in Florida. It wasn't until they lived in Hawaii that they met. When they found out their family was growing back in 2018, Hawaii felt too far away from family. With Massachusetts simply being too cold, they venutured to the upstate next! They went all in buying their 20+ acres sight unseen and hopped back to the mainland!
If you think education happens within four walls, think again! When it comes to educating our kiddos, we take it outside to allow nature to teach them while we as adults guide that learning. Being outdooors rain-or-shine increases resilience, cognitive function, motor coordination, connectedness to nature, well-being, critical thinking, better sleep and so much more!
Victoria started Earthganic Farm along with Boe in 2019 after developing a passion for organic farming while traveling through the Middle East, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and South America often times working on organic farms! She studied Environmental Science and Education at Palm Beach Atlantic University where she compiled a lot of what she learned working on farms abroad into her senior thesis about organic farming. Victoria started her professional career as a high school Biology, Chemistry, and Global Issues teacher in the Dominican Republic. She then went on to teach Sciences, Gardening, and Health & Wellness in Hawaii. Being a Resident Supervisor at that school ignited Victoria’s enthusiasm to get kids outdoors. She brought her residents hiking, kayaking, foraging, and boogie boarding whenever she had a chance. For the past three years, she's worked at Valley Forest School teaching children as young as 6 weeks to 8 years. Bringing outdoor educational experiences to their homestead has been a dream since the farm started.
Make sure to ask Victoria about her travels and low-waste living! In the past decade, she’s been to 30 different countries and has worked on farms in six of them. Over the course of three years, she fit all her plastic & landfill waste in a 160z jar each year. Her more recent feet was keeping 99% of their youngest, Banks, homegrown for his first year during which he had 66 foods from the land they steward. She loves sharing her appreciation for traveling and environmental justice!
Crystal was born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, where a childhood filled with travel and adventure sparked her lifelong love of nature. From white-water rafting and year-round camping to cross-country road trips in search of waterfalls, she developed a deep appreciation for the natural world.
In school, science quickly became her favorite subject. The joy of questioning, exploring, and understanding how things work turned into a true passion. Crystal pursued that interest at Augusta University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. She went on to work in a hospital setting for several years, gaining valuable hands-on experience in the medical field.
When Crystal became a mother, she made the decision to stay home with her children. As they grew, she began hosting pre-K classes in her home and mentoring children in English. These experiences revealed a new passion: helping young minds fall in love with learning, just as she had.
Today, Crystal is excited to bring her science background, teaching experience, and enthusiasm for learning to the families of Walking in Wellness. Her goal is to inspire curiosity, encourage exploration, and support every child’s unique learning journey.
Kathleen Bishop is a South Carolina native. She has three girls that she has homeschooled through the years. She has led a nature-based co-op since 2016 exploring the upstate area and learning science and history in a group setting.
Since she started having kids, she launched into the natural health and wellness world and by default into gardening. Gardening led her through studies of permaculture, foraging, forest management skills and farming. On her family’s 3/4 acre urban farm they have raised their own meat through all the small livestock they could get their hands on.
She has completed training as a doula and a natural health practitioner which naturally led her into cultured foods and homemade medicines. She is passionate about inspiring families to find true health through a holistic approach.

This experience led him to feel passionate about teaching and he began substituting and secured a para professional role within Northwest Indiana. He met his now wife and relocated to the Upstate area with their son in June 2020 from the Chicagoland area. Vance decided to go back and complete his degree and graduated October 2024 while he taught his son from home. Born and raised in South Jersey, Derek spent his childhood outdoors—whether it was playing sports each season or time outside, being active was a way of life. That energy and drive followed him to North Jersey, where he attended Fairleigh Dickinson University. There, he earned both his B.S. and M.B.A. in Marketing, played football all four years, and, most importantly, met his future wife.
While in college, Derek worked in the restaurant industry, where he discovered a passion for food, hospitality, and service. After graduating, he returned to South Jersey to begin his professional journey, building a career in hospitality across Atlantic City and Philadelphia as Director of Operations for two major Philadelphia-based restaurant groups.
At the same time, he gave back to the community by coaching football at his high school alma mater for ten seasons, dedicating each fall to mentoring student-athletes and staying connected to the sport.
Wanting more time with his growing family, the Gregorys made the exciting decision to relocate to the South and made the move to the Greenville area in January 2024.
Since then, the family of four has embraced an active lifestyle—hiking, exploring nature, and enjoying everything this beautiful area has to offer. Derek is excited to bring his energy, passion, and teamwork mindset to the class, where he'll strive to help students have fun, respect one another, and appreciate the incredible natural world around us.
Allyson Farri has been a stay at home mom for the first few years of her son, Lucca’s, life. During this time, her family and she have been diving into the world of homesteading, building essential skills for a self-sufficient lifestyle. In 2024, the Farri family found their forever home in Gray Court, SC and began their journey into homesteading. Allyson had a successful first year gardening and plans to expand this year into baking freshly milled goods and learning essential food preservation techniques.
Allyson was born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA and finished her Bachelors Degree at San Francisco State University in Communications with emphasis on Environmental Problems and Solutions. After college, her focus deepened in the areas of mediation and yoga. While traveling to and from India, Allyson worked in the States as a nanny and ESL teacher, later to become a Certified Nursing Assistant in Memory Care.
At home, Allyson finds it quite natural to parent with a Montessori approach. She believes that providing space to observe, understand, and respond to a child based on their individual needs fosters independence and a sense of ownership. She loves to explore the natural world with other families and enjoys growing her own skills alongside this beautiful group.
