Respecting Native Roots

At Earthganic Farm, we want to recognize that our farm is situated on land that is not historically ours and to honor the people who came before us. This special day is about learning, respect, and community.

We are honored to welcome Candace Richardson from the Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation, who will lead our children in a language lesson. We’ll also dive into history with Making History, exploring Native American artifacts, crafts, and stories together.

Parents must remain on-site for the duration of the day.

If you're able to contribute more to help cover costs for those who can’t, we greatly appreciate it!

Children outside this age range are welcome, and if they’d like to join the craft, please add a few dollars for supplies.

Cost should not be a barrier—everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to donate! Here’s a quick look at how your donations make this day possible — and how anything above our base need supports the Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation SC.

PAIA Lower Eastern Cherokee Nation SC has a mission is to promote: Native American Heritage and Culture in the Piedmont Region of South Carolina; To enable Native American people in this region to engage in self-help projects for mutual aid and collective advancement; To Promote: self-government of the Piedmont American Indian Association; and to engage cooperative projects with other Indian organization located in the state as to further the general welfare of Indian people throughout South Carolina.
