Growing Gardeners

Let’s get our hands dirty in the best way possible! Our Growing Gardeners sessions are designed to spark curiosity and nurture a love for the natural world through joyful, hands-on exploration.

Depending on the topic of the day and age group, children dive into activities like:

• Explore soil health and composting through earthworm observation and soil play
• Learn about herbs and natural remedies: pick fresh herbs, taste them, and even create a personalized tea blend to take home
• Receive a menu of herbs with descriptions of their energetics and simple benefits to deepen their connection to medicinal herbs
• Tend the garden through cover cropping, broad forking, and seasonal harvesting
• See how our chickens and goats play a vital role in fertilizing and supporting a healthy garden system
• Enjoy sensory play, open-ended art, and mud kitchen time that let creativity flow freely
• Wrap up with a garden-crafted drink or take-home project to continue the learning after the farm day

Each session gives children a meaningful foundation in how the earth grows food and how we can care for it.

We currently run Growing Gardeners primarily for private groups and field trips, with occasional dates open to the public each season.
